Reeder promoted to staff Lt. at the Cleveland District Headquarters

COLUMBUS — Lieutenant Richard P. Reeder, or Norwalk, was promoted to the rank of staff lieutenant Sunday by Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent. Staff Lieutenant Reeder will transfer from his current assignment at the Milan Post to serve as an assistant district commander at the Cleveland District Headquarters. Reeder, a 1994 graduate of Plymouth High School, began his Patrol career in April 1998 as a member of the 131st Academy Class. He earned his commission in October of that year and was assigned to the Norwalk Post. As a trooper, he also served at the Sandusky Post. In 2007, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Piqua Post to serve as an assistant post commander. As a sergeant, he also served in the Public Affairs Unit and at the Sandusky and Milan posts. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and remained at the Milan Post to serve as post commander. Staff Lieutenant Reeder received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Bluffton University in 1998. He also received a certificate in advanced leadership training from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, Public Safety Leadership Academy in 2016.
