Towne and Country Players announce 56th season

NORWALK — The Towne and Country Players recently announced their Concert Series for their 56th season. According to T and C president Neil Miller, the series will open with "The Red, White, Blue and You!" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at the McCormick School auditorium in Huron. The site is the former home of the Historical BGSU Huron Playhouse Summer Theater. The show is the annual tribute to all veterans and active Military and free tickets are available by calling 419-668-0637. Jeff McDonald's Tri-State Swingmania Band will perform. The season continues with the famous Tower Brass Quintet performing "Christmas in Brass" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the First United Methodist Church in Norwalk. Following the Christmas event will be "Easter Celebration" presented by the Cedarville University Concert Choir under the baton of Dr. Lyle Anderson. Music selections include choruses from Handel's MESSIAH. The Choir will perform at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Norwalk on April 10. The T & C Season will close with the Bowling Green State University Men's Chorus ending their inter-state tour in Huron on March 20, where the 80 men will celebrate 51 years of outstanding Male Chorus music. "After being off the stage for one year, due to COVID, we are ecstatic about being able to be back in session greeting and entertaining our audiences," said T and C vice-president Jim Cardman, of Norwalk. All events are age appropriate but children age 4 and under are discouraged from attending due to the nature of the programs. Tickets range from $12 to $15.
