James R. (Jimbo) Ramsey Jr.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — James R. Ramsey Jr., formerly of Norwalk, died unexpectedly at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at the age of 63. He was born in Norwalk on April 24, 1958, and lived the majority of his life in the area. Jim was a 1976 graduate of Norwalk High School before attending Wittenberg University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Pat Ramsey of Norwalk. He is survived by his son CJ of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Mary; and granddaughter, Rose of West Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Julie (Ron) Winland of Worthington, Ohio, and Lori (Matt) Gross of Norwalk. Jim loved the game of football, participating in successful programs at both Norwalk High and Wittenberg University. He enjoyed woodworking in his free time, making gifts for his friends and family. Arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Norwalk High School Football program through the NHS Athletic Boosters.
