When college is a party: Ohio University, Miami U., Ohio State among top 25 party schools

COLUMBUS — Sure, students at schools like Princeton, Columbia, and Harvard have a lot to brag about now that they've landed at the top of the latest U.S. News and World Report Best National University rankings. But other students — including some closer to home in Ohio — may be more interested in a different ranking list: the 2022 Top Party Schools in America. The list by ranking and review site Niche includes three universities from the Buckeye State in the top 25. They are Ohio University (No. 12), Miami University (No. 15), and Ohio State University (No. 23), which ranked 49th in this year's U.S. News rankings. How does a college become a top party school? According to Niche, its rankings are based on student reviews and nightlife. "Top party colleges have a vibrant and diverse party scene — they offer fun options both on and off campus and students rate their peers as being fun, friendly, and into partying," the website states.
