Call Kristina Moffit at 419-577-0863 Fall programing at library NEW LONDON — The library is preparing for fall programing, starting with Storytimes for babies to age 5 with a caregiver at 10 a.m. starting Monday, Sept. 13. Storytimes include 30 minutes of stories, music, rhymes and puppets. This has become a popular program, and will repeat at 10 a.m. each Friday for those who cannot come to the Monday Storytime. Depending on interest, this may become a permanent change. Other fall programs for kids will be monthly take & makes, monthly guessing jar, library scavenger hunts during September and guinea pig care with Madeline at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7. For adults of any age and skill level, line dancing begins at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13 at the Alliance Church. The instructor is Carolyn Cicillian, and the sessions are free. Salute to the Services day is Saturday NEW LONDON — Salute to the Services, a day of remembering Sept. 11, 2001, will begin at the Recreation Park at 8 a.m. Saturday. The day will start with a flag ceremony, followed by the reading of names of those lost, a parade, Girl Scout activities, a video, piston show, craft show, music and more.
