Fireworks displays in Norwalk, Willard and Greenwich

Communities across the region are planning fireworks shows to celebrate Independence Day. Today • Oak Harbor: Oak Harbor's Chamber of Commerce is having a fireworks celebration on Mill Street in downtown Oak Harbor. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. • Fremont: Terra State Community College, 2830 Napoleon Road in Fremont, will be hosting a fireworks show at 9 p.m. On Sunday • Norwalk: The city of Norwalk will be hosting fireworks at dusk at the Huron County Fairgrounds. The grandstands will be closed to the public. • Willard: The city of Willard will host fireworks at 10 p.m. at the Willard City Park. • Greenwich: Fireworks will follow the demolition derby. • Cedar Point: Cedar Point's 4th of July fireworks display is set to explode in a palette of colors above the park's skyline while a patriotic soundtrack accompanies the display, broadcast live on Sandusky's 102.7 FM (WCPZ). The show begins at 10:30 p.m., weather permitting. They'll take place from the amusement park, 1 Cedar Point Drive, but will be visible from many spots in downtown Sandusky. • Put-in-Bay: The village will be hosting its annual fireworks display at 10 p.m. in Downtown Put-in-Bay, 93 Delaware Ave.
