Today GREENWICH The start of the 46th annual 2021 Fireman's Festival. Check out the introduction of the queen and her court and truck pull at 6 p.m. PORT CLINTON Riverfront Live: John Pickle will be performing on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton at 6 p.m. Saturday GREENWICH Day 2 of the 2021 Fireman's Festival. Highlights are the 5K race at 8:30 a.m., parade at 11 a.m. and tractor pull at 6 p.m. NORWALK The Norwalk Farmer's Market will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Masonic Lodge parking lot at the corner of East Main Street and Old State Road. VERMILION Vermilion Farmers Market: The weekly market takes place in Victory Park, between Ohio and Main streets, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SANDUSKY Sandusky Farmers Market: The weekly market is in downtown Sandusky, 100 E. Washington Row, and runs from 8 a.m. to noon. Sunday GREENWICH Day 3 of the 2021 Fireman's Festival. Day starts with a church service under the big tent at 10 a.m. and ends with the demolition derby at 6 p.m. Fireworks will follow the demo. NORWALK Fourth-of-July fireworks at the Huron County Fairgrounds. Grandstand will be closed so you have to watch the fireworks from the parking lot. People are asked to clean up their area because of the Mapletree Road Race and Fourth of July Parade the next day. VERMILION Concerts in the Park: Presented by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce, the first installment of "Concerts in the Park" will start at 7 p.m. at Victory Park, located between Ohio and Main streets in downtown Vermilion. FREMONT Independence Day Concert with Toledo Concert Band: Spiegel Grove, the historic home of President Hayes, will be hosting members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra from 2-3 p.m. Food trucks will be present and it is recommended guests bring their own seating to sit on the home's lawn. SANDUSKY • Boy with the Boot 5K: As part of the Rundusky race series, this annual 5K race will start and finish at the Boy with the Boot statue at Washington Park. The race will start at 8:30 a.m. Registration closes at 3 p.m. Thursday and costs $20. • Independence Day Pops concert: The Firelands Symphony Orchestra is partnering with the Sandusky recreation department to put on a patriotic show at Jackson Street Pier, 109 W. Shoreline Drive. The show will start at 7 p.m. • Art Walk Sandusky: The monthly event features artists local to the area around downtown Sandusky. This month's Art Walk takes place at Washington Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. • Sandusky Community July 4th Celebration: The Merry-Go-Round Museum, 301 Jackson St. in Sandusky, will offer discounted admission and a ride on the carousel to celebrate Independence Day. The event will go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. • Sandusky Gazebo Concert Series: In a special 4th of July concert, a variety of different musicians will play at the Washington Park Gazebo, 240 Columbus Ave. in Sandusky. The concert is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday NORWALK The Mapletree Road Race starts at 8 a.m. at the Huron County fairgrounds. It will be 4 miles on the 5th. They will start handing out race bibs at 7. This year's race is going HYBRID, which means there will be both an IN-PERSON race at the Huron County Fairgrounds along the parade route, and a VIRTUAL race to accommodate all social-distancing needs and preferences. Participating VIRTUALLY means you can complete any physical activity such as running, biking, swimming, etc. and send your name, type of exercise, time, and mileage to mapletreeroadrace@ncsmail.org. The Norwalk Lions Club annual Fourth of July Parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. This year the community parade marshals will be front line workers. Thanks to all who stepped up during the pandemic. Tuesday SANDUSKY Sandusky Gazebo Concert Series: The first installment of the weekly concert series will start at 7 p.m. at the Washington Park Gazebo. Wednesday SANDUSKY Camp Marshmallow: The Sandusky Mall's program for children will teach kids about camping, animals and the outdoors every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon. To register, pick up a registration card at the mall's information center and return it to the mall office. FREMONT Verandah Concert: The next installment of the Verandah Concert series features the Cottonwood Jam String Band at Spiegel Grove, 1337 Hayes Ave. The ice cream social starts at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
