New Horizons acquires Coalescence LLC

COLUMBUS — New Horizons Baking Company, a soft roll and English muffin manufacturer with corporate offices in Norwalk, announces the acquisition of Coalescence LLC. Coalescence produces custom seasoning blends, distinctive flavors and nutritional solutions for food and beverage companies and non-profit organizations that fight against hunger. The company has been in business for 16 years, is BRC & NSF certified, and was owned and led by spouses Angela Cauley and Ian Blunt, Sr. Both will remain with the new business for a period of time to support the Integration. The new company, Coalescence NHB LLC, will operate as an independent entity and a provide a unique diversification component to the bakery business. Trina Brown Bediako is the CEO of New Horizons Baking Co. and Tilmon (Tim) Brown is now chairman. The Brown family has owned the company for 25 years and has three facilities — Norwalk and Toledo and Fremont, Ind.
