Norwalk City School parents will save money in the fall

NORWALK — Good news for parents with students in the Norwalk City Schools. Board members will be asked Tuesday to waive K-12 school fees and activity participation fees for the 2021-22 school year. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Norwalk High School. "Under the watchful eye of our superintendent and treasurer, your school board will be able to wave the K-12 school fees and activity participation fees for the 2021-2022 school year using ESSER funds," Board president Ralph Ritzenthaler said. "The board will also be able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students again for the 2021-2022 school year. This board and administration is committed to helping our taxpayers keep money in their pockets whenever possible." Also Tuesday, Maplehurst Elementary will be in the educational spotlight.
