South Central third at Buckeye Central Invite

NEW WASHINGTON — The South Central girls were third and Willard was fifth among the 11-team field at Friday's Buckeye Central Stache Dash Invitational. The Trojans scored 75 points, which was behind Carey (151) and Port Clinton. Seneca East (62) was fourth and Willard (60) was fifth. Grace Lamoreaux won both the 100-meter hurdles (16.95) and the 300-meter hurdles (51.7) to pace the S.C. girls. Claire Osborn won the shot put (33-feet-8.5) and was second in the discus (102-feet-8). Also for South Central, Angela Williams was second in the 100 (13.07) and 200 (26.91), and fourth in the long jump (14-feet-5). The 4x200 relay was third in 1:58.32. Destiny Rose won the 800 in 2:31.58 for Willard, which also won the 4x400 relay in 4:18.49, just .28 off meet record time. The 4x100 team was third in 55.77 seconds for the Crimson Flashes, as was Mckenna Stephens in the 100 (13.17) Plymouth's Mallory Keefe was third in the 200 (28.2). On the boys side, South Central (47.5) was sixth and Willard (47) was seventh. Trey Beverly won the 400 (53.60) and Mason Kiesel was second in the shot put (45-feet-8) for the Trojans. Beverly was also third in the 200 (24.15). Willard's 4x800 relay team took first in a time of 9:05, while Plymouth was second in 9:08.3. Javier Lopez was first in the 800 (2:09.59) and second (5:07.76) in the 1600 run for Willard. Trenton Rupert was second (53.60) in the 400. Plymouth's Levi Robinson was second in the 3200 (10:07.46. Both Robinson and race winner Zack Britton (9:57.39) of Upper Scioto broke the meet record in the event. Also for the Big Red, Caiden Allen was second in the 100 (11.37).
