Project Leadership accepting applications

Project Leadership of Huron County is now accepting applications for its 2021 leadership class which will begin on April 15. The class was originally scheduled to commence in August, 2020; however, the pandemic forced the board of directors to postpone recruitment, and in the interim, a special committee was given the task of restructuring the entire program to bring it in line with other programs throughout the state. The April 15 start date reflects one major change. Project Leadership will move to an April-December calendar. Classes will continue to meet once a month, but the class schedule has been expanded to full days — 8:30-4:30 — and will offer intensive, professional leadership training, roundtable discussions with leaders from all walks of life in Huron County; visits to a wide variety of Huron County venues, and more class activities that revolve around a variety of themes such as economic development & retention; government; agriculture & the environment; education; entrepreneurship; health and social services and global impact of local businesses. Project Leadership has been in the forefront of helping to provide well-informed, motivated leaders for Huron County since 1996. Anyone who lives and/or works in Huron County is eligible to apply for the program. In many cases, employers sponsor candidates; however, it is not necessary to have an employer sponsor to apply. Scholarship assistance is available to candidates who do not have a sponsor.
