Charles D. Lampkin

Charles D. Lampkin, 49, of Akron, formerly of Norwalk, died Jan. 26, 2021, in his home. He was born Sept. 29, 1971, in Elyria, to Charles D. and J. Marie (Boyd) Lampkin. He graduated from Elyria High in 1989 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a medical specialist and received the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Badge. He is survived by his two sons, Charles D Lampkin, III, of Texas, and Bryce A. Lampkin, of Avon Lake; two daughters, Alora Lampkin (Keenan-grandson) and Joelle Lampkin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four sisters, Jacquelyn Lampkin, of Akron, Erin Robinson-McCoy, of Killen, Texas, Yolanda Horton, of Elyria, and Barbara Jean Lampkin, of Lorain; one brother, Heath Horton, of Elyria; three aunts, Carolyn Boyd and Patricia Gaytan, of Akron, and Bertha M. Bryant, of Elyria; two uncles, Chester Bryant, of Elyria, and Cecil Boyd, of Salem, Virginia, and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and J. Marie (Boyd) Lampkin and his grandparents, Samuel and Florine Boyd and William and Mildred Lampkin. A memorial service will be held in Norwalk, at a later date.
