Copley on board of trustees

NEW LONDON — Kay Copley is the newest member of the library board of trustees. She replaces Allison Grys, whose term ended in December. Copley, a New London High School and Ohio University graduate, said she was honored to be asked to serve because the library has always been an important part of her family's life. The board meets at the library at 5 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month and meetings are open to the public. Hopkins, Logan retire from ambulance service NEW LONDON — Congratulations to Gary Hopkins and Steve Logan, who both recently retired from Firelands Ambulance Service. First-responder Hopkins had 20 years with the service and advanced EMT Logan had 32 years. Price break on paver bricks at park NEW LONDON — For a limited time, the price of paver bricks for the New London Veterans Memorial Park has been reduced. The basic 4x8 brick is $60 and the 8x8 $120 through Feb. 28. Any donation of $150 or more will be denoted by a lighthouse gray brick. Order forms are on the village website, www.newlondonohio.com. Checks should be made payable to the village of New London and mailed to 115 E. Main St., New London Ohio 44851. Proceeds from the brick sale are for maintenance and upkeep of the Memorial Park. The new memorial was dedicated on Veteran's Day, 2016, and was built to honor veterans of all wars and members of safety services.
