City hall to remain closed

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Norwalk City Hall will remain closed to the public until further notice. "Our goal, as always is to protect both the public and our employees as much as possible while still carrying out our public duties," Norwalk Mayor Dave Light said. "Toward that end we have all followed containment and quarantine protocols aimed at limiting our exposure. As of today, we have encountered another city hall employee who has tested positive for the virus, it is vital that we continue to pay attention to our safety procedures. "As mayor, it is my duty to take the necessary precautions to protect and maintain the day to day operations of the city. All employees at city hall are essential. City hall continues to operate with reduced staffing and cannot risk losing another employee due to the virus." Norwalk City Hall staff will continue to work in their offices conducting business and may be reached via telephone or by email during normal business hours (8 a.m. TO 4:30 p.m.). Use the drop box in front of City Hall to deliver necessary documents to employees and for utility billing payments.
