Man dies in roll-over accident on Ohio 547

LYME TOWNSHIP — One man died in a single-vehicle accident late Tuesday night. Adam Eugene Cole, 32, of Attica, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating crash on Ohio 547 in Lyme Township. The crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday but the crash was not discovered until 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday. A 2009 Ford Focus was west bound on Ohio 547 and Cole failed to negotiate a right curve near Dogtown Road. The Focus went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and drainage culvert before overturning several times. Cole was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Unsafe speed is suspected as a factor in the crash. The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Huron County Sheriff's Office, North Central EMS, Bellevue Fire Department and White's Automotive Towing. The crash remains under investigation.
