Bellevue High School graduate is promoted

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Major Catheran J. Rodriquez is the Operations Officer for the 145th Logistics Readiness Squadron, North Carolina Air National Guard, Charlotte, N.C. Maj. Rodriguez oversees the day-to-day operations within the squadron. She is responsible for the training, equipping and readiness of three flights to meet Federal and State tasked missions. Maj Rodriguez maintains accountability of $3.2 million of warehouse equipment and assets. She is a 2000 Bellevue High School graduate and the daughter of Robert Bibb, of Wakeman, and Carol Bibb. Major Rodriguez joined the Air Force in August 2002 as an enlisted member of the Ohio Air National Guard, 121st Air Refueling Wing, Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus. She graduated from Basic Military Training in July of 2003 then completed the Vehicle Operations Apprentice course at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. in August of 2003. She transferred to the 145th Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard in January 2007. Maj. Rodriguez earned a commissioning as a Second Lieutenant at the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tenn., in November 2008 and graduated from the Intelligence Officer course at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas in March 2010. During her career, she has also served as the 145th Airlift Wing Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and Information Protection Officer. She served as an elementary school teacher and baseball coach in Lincoln County, N.C., for seven years prior to serving full-time in the North Carolina Air National Guard. Maj. Rodriguez has deployed several times during her career in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE and FREEDOM SENTINEL. Prior to her current assignment, Maj. Rodriguez served as the Senior Intelligence Officer with the 145th Operations Support Squadron from June 2014 through January 2017.
