Huron County issues for Nov. election

A complete list of issues filed for the Nov. 3 general election in Huron County has been filed. Here are the issues: • There is a replacement tax levy for the Seneca East Local Public Library for current expenses and is a .075 mill levy. Those voting on the issue live in the Seneca East Local School District. • There is a renewal tax levy for .5 mill for five years for Willard city's parks and recreation. • The Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities have a renewal tax levy for 1 mill for 5 years which all of Huron County will vote on that will support the operation of community programs, services and facilities. • Those in Monroeville, Ridgefield Township, Peru Township and Sherman Township will vote on a renewal tax levy for the Huron River Joint Fire District of 1.25 mills for 5 years for fire services. The Huron River Joint Fire District will have another tax levy renewal for 1.25 mills for 5 years for fire services. • The Firelands Ambulance Service District has a replacement tax levy of 1 mill for 5 years for the ambulance and emergency medical services. Voting on the issue will be the village of New London, New London Township and Fitchville Township. • Fitchville Township will also vote on a Fitchville Township tax levy renewal of 1 mill for 5 years for roads and bridges. • Peru Township will vote on a tax levy renewal of .10 mill for 5 years for fire, ambulance and EMS services. • The village of Plymouth has a tax levy renewal on the ballot for 1 mill for 5 years for parks. Plymouth also has a tax levy renewal for current expenses of 6 mills for 5 years. • Part of Clarksfield Township, in the Wellington Exempted Village School District, will vote on an additional tax levy of .66 mill for 10 years for the Lorain County Joint Vocation School District to enlarge, improve or rebuild. • Wakeman Township and Wakeman village will vote on a tax levy renewal of 1 mill for 5 years for fire services in the Wakeman Fire District. • Those in Lyme Township will have a tax levy renewal on the ballot of 1.4 mills for 5 years for roads and bridges. • The Monroeville Local School District has a tax levy renewal for 1.8 mills for 5 years meant for permanent improvements. Those voting on the issue will be Norwalk 4-C, Bronson 2, Lyme Township, Norwalk Township, Peru Township, Ridgefield Township, the village of Monroeville and Sherman Township. • There is a tax levy renewal of 1.275 mills for 5 years for the Huron County Community Library and Willard City School District for current operating expenses. Voting on the issue is the city of Willard, Greenfield Township, New Haven Township, Norwich Township and Richmond Township. • Hartland Township will have a tax levy renewal for ambulance and fire services of 1.5 mills for 5 years. • The final local issue on the November ballot is a tax levy renewal for ambulance and EMS services of .75 mill for 5 years. Those voting are Greenwich village, Greenwich Township and Ripley Township.
