Fisher-Titus Heart & Vascular launching peripheral artery disease therapy program

NORWALK — Fisher-Titus Heart & Vascular has launched a Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Therapy program for individuals diagnosed with PAD. PAD is a common circulatory problem where narrowing in the arteries reduces the blood flow to the limbs. Patients with PAD may experience pain when they walk, cold feet, nighttime leg pain and more. PAD therapy is a specially-designed exercise program within Fisher-Titus Cardiac Rehabilitation. Patients work with Cardiac Rehab staff and Fisher-Titus Heart & Vascular physicians to manage PAD through lifestyle changes such as exercise, diet, and medication management. "We are thankful to have Dr. Osman and Dr. Ahmed as part of the Fisher-Titus Heart & Vascular team," said Dr. Brent Burkey, President & CEO of Fisher-Titus. "The addition of both these surgeons allowed us to re-introduce Vascular Surgery to the community and launch new services such as the PAD Therapy program."
