Fisher-Titus introduces medical oncologists to cancer care center team

NORWALK — Fisher-Titus is pleased to introduce Medical Oncologists/Hematologists James Fanning, MD, and Timothy Adamowicz, DO, of NOMS Oncology to the Fisher-Titus Cancer Care Center. Along with the specialized nursing team, radiologists and surgeons, Dr. Fanning and Dr. Adamowicz will be part of the care team for patients to continue receiving top notch cancer care in Norwalk. "Having the familiar faces of Dr. Fanning and Dr. Adamowicz providing care for our cancer patients is a benefit for our patients who have come to know and trust them," said Fisher-Titus president and CEO Dr. Brent Burkey. "These doctors' long-standing record of quality performance allows us to continue to provide the right care, right here for our community. An added bonus is that we get to partner with another local physician organization — NOMS Healthcare in keeping care local." Both physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Fanning received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at The Ohio State University Hospital and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Adamowicz received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He did is internal medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his fellowship where he was the Chief Oncology Fellow at the Nevada Cancer Institute, a part of University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas. Fisher-Titus' cancer program has been providing care locally over 20 years, allowing patients to receive their care and treatment right here in the community where they live without the need to travel outside of the area.
