Syniti migrates to old IHRA building

NORWALK — Syniti has moved from Executive Drive to a new location at 9 1/2 Main St. The company, which was formerly known as Back Office Associates, employs 800 data specialists in 25 offices worldwide and is headquartered in the greater Boston area. The Norwalk office is now at the former International Hot Rod Association's World headquarters. The IHRA relocated to Cleveland Road in 2012 and the building has been awaiting a more permanent tenant. "Although we are not new to Norwalk, we are new to uptown and are excited to be here," said Lori Drennen, delivery center office manager. "We love this building and all of the history. It's just a great space." The location will have ample room for employees to mill around and is complete with state-of-the-art meeting rooms, training rooms, a large kitchen and lunch room. According to the company website, Syniti solves business' complex data challenges, bringing synergy between data and business. It helps clients manage their data journey from data conversion to data quality, data archival and replication, master data management, analytics, information governance, and data strategy. Data migration sounds complicated, but employees Matthew Bohne and Josh White said it isn't nearly as difficult to comprehend as the name suggests. "I like to use the analogy that we are going to work for a company that has multiple filing cabinets that need to be combined into just one cabinet," Bohne said. "We take all the files from all the different cabinets and combine them into one. We sort them out and move them to where there are more accessible to the user." Syniti in Norwalk at any given time houses between 10 and 35 employees. In addition to the employees who call this office home on a daily basis, the office also allows space for our remote employees on days when they need an office setting as well as a place for various customer/client teams to collaborate.
