Library adds children's learning computers

MONROEVILLE — The Monroeville Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of new AWE Children's Learning Computers, made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Monroeville Public Library and the Huron County Community Foundation. Designed specifically for young learners, the AWE computers provide access to hundreds of educational activities, games and learning resources that support literacy, math, science, technology and critical thinking skills. The systems offer children a safe, engaging environment where they can learn through exploration and play. Since their installation, the computers have been extremely well-received by library patrons and have quickly become a popular destination in the children's area. The addition of these learning stations expands the library's ability to provide educational opportunities and technology resources for local families. "These computers are an exciting addition to our children's area and will help us continue providing educational resources that support learning both in and out of the classroom," said Jozlyn Heckel, director of the Monroeville Public Library. "We are grateful to the Friends of the Monroeville Public Library and the Huron County Community Foundation for helping make this project possible."
