Resident creates America 250 website

WAKEMAN — As America's 250th birthday rapidly approaches, Wakeman resident Curt Vance created a personal tribute to honor the country's upcoming anniversary. Vance did this by laying out America's foundations on a webpage online. The website, america250usa.vercel.app, walks citizens through 250 years of American history. Starting with a countdown, visitors can begin the journey through American history by participating in interactive website. Interactive elements on the website include: • Reading the Declaration of Independence • Reading a Prayer for America and for Gold Star families • Reading a America 250 Pledge • Ringing a Bell of Freedom • Listening to America's 250 soundtrack, including patriotic tunes. The site carefully walks visitors through American history starting with American independence in 1776, with an opportunity to read the Declaration, followed by a reminder of the foundations of American life: the faith of its citizens, the service of its veterans and finally paying tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our freedoms. Vance's website highlights the major milestones of America's 250 years of existence and further encourages Americans with a hopeful message for the next 250.
