Area state track and field schedule

COLUMBUS — The qualifiers are set for this week's Ohio High School Athletic Association Jesse Owens Track and Field State Championships, which begins at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. It marks the 119th annual boys and 51st annual girls state tournament, and the first state tournament under the new five division format. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, which is also linked at OHSAA.org/tickets. Tickets purchased at Ticketmaster prior to arrival at the state tournament are the same cost as tickets purchase on site. Utilizing nine cameras around the venue, the NFHS Network will cover the state tournament with live streaming of every event. Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is located at 2450 Fred Taylor Drive, Columbus. Guests coming for the state track and field meet should use Ohio 315 and either the Ackerman Road exit or the Lane Avenue exit. Spectators are encouraged to follow the directions of the traffic and parking attendants for the nearest available parking, which will be free in identified lots both days of the state tournament. In other lots, a parking fee will apply, payable by credit card.
