Ganley Hyundai dealership hosts grand opening

NORWALK — Welcome to Norwalk. There were smiles all around when the ribbon was cut on Aug. 19 to officially open the new Ken Ganley Hyundai dealership in Norwalk. And just like that, work started Monday tearing down the old building to the north to start the rebuild of another Ken Ganley dealership. "When we came here six or seven years ago, I don't think we ever could imagine such a more wonderful city that has embraced the store," owner Ken Ganley said just before the ribbon-cutting event. "It has been such a wonderful partnership — you don't often find that. "The city works with you so closely." Ganley mentioned working with Mayor Dave Light, the chamber of commerce (Kevin Rasnick), fire department (Dan Strayer) and police (Dave Smith). "Thanks for letting us be part of this community and letting us be here." General Manager John Decker has been in Norwalk since the dealership moved here. "Being here for the last six or seven years, Norwalk has welcomed us like family," he said. "Super proud of our staff ... this is just an awesome, awesome thing."
