Bob Burras

NORWALK — Bob Burras, 79, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, in his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Norwalk, to Howard and Beatrice (Butts) Burras. He was a lifelong resident of Olena, where his family settled nearly 200 years ago. He was a certified GM and Chrysler technician and was the owner and operator of Burras Automotive for many years.

Bob enjoyed retirement and wintered the last 27 years in Texas. He enjoyed camping and traveling, collecting and restoring antique cars and was a member of the Car Coddlers. He had fun riding his Segway and riding his Honda Goldwing. He enjoyed attending car shows and was a former member of the Mad River Rovers camping club.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marge Burras of Olena; sons, Ron Burras and Larry (Cathy) Burras, both of Olena; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister in infancy.

Private services will be held at a later date and interment will be in Olena Cemetery.
