He was born March 10, 1938 in New London to the late James and Oleva (Rahrig) McGinn. Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was a press operator at Tenneco and also painted houses. He was a member of the Norwalk Eagles and enjoyed spending time outdoors, including hunting, trapping and fishing. Ted was always quick to join a card game and would gamble on anything, including going to casinos.
Ted is survived by his wife of almost 61 years Peggy (Dillingham) McGinn, who he married Nov. 15, 1958; four children, Thomas L. McGinn of Bellevue, Theresa A. McGinn of Monroeville, Lori J. (Craig) Sergeant of Monroeville and Steven D. (Kathy) McGinn of Norwalk; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Noftz of Clarksfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery McGinn; and brother, Jim McGinn.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St Norwalk, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Heartland Hospice through the funeral home.
