Gary S. Borgeson

INVERNESS, FLORIDA — Gary S. Borgeson, 64, of Inverness, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019.

He was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on April 24, 1955. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn (Kaczorowski) Borgeson and his father-in-law and best friend Jon F. Zimmerman.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Victoria Borgeson. Other survivors include his daughter Christine (Mare) Herring of Inverness; brother Charles Borgeson of Norwalk, Ohio; nephews, Nathan and Benjamin (Jennifer) Borgeson; three grandchildren; Marcus, Lexus, and Kandus; many sisters and brothers-in-law, and mother-in-law, Gloria Zimmerman.

He was a 1973 graduate of St. Paul High School, where he participated in football, wrestling and baseball. Gary was a former employee of Coon Concrete. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired in 2007 as a Captain for the Florida Dept. of Corrections. He was a Christian by faith and loved the Lord. He loved bass and perch fishing, playing softball and baseball, going to the gym and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Gary was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.

A celebration of life was held on Oct. 17, 2019 at the First Christian Church of Inverness. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron County Veterans Services, 185 Shady Lane, Suite C, Norwalk, Ohio.
