He was born Nov. 15, 1932, at home in Rockholds, Ky., to Will T. and Nancy (Foley) Cox.
Lowell spent his life as a wonderful caregiver to his family. He was a fair-minded man, who always seemed to have a kind word to share. He enjoyed watching big time pro wrestling and cherished any opportunity to treat his nieces and nephews to a “soda pop.”
He served his country as part of United States Air Force for six years and later the United States Navy for nearly 24 years.
Survivors include his sisters, Irma Cox, Georgia M. Wells and Wilma (Harlie) Mink; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his siblings, Noah and Shelby Cox, Clara Schort and Jewell Helton.
Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, is entrusted with Lowell’s initial care, and funeral services are planned for a later date in Corbin.
