WAKEMAN — Don Linder, 71, of Wakeman, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at his residence.

He was born June 7, 1948, in Norwalk and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict in Germany. He retired after 30 years at Ford Motor Co. in Lorain in 1999 and then worked at Parts Distributer and the Super Car Wash in Norwalk.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gina Linder; children, retired Chief Master Sergeant Jim Lamont, Alicia (Jack) Cassady and Lisa Hardwick; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sharon Harp and Dawn Dickman.

A celebration of Don’s life will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be sent to his grandson and care giver, Kyle Cassady in care of the family.
