Marlene Schwartz

PENSON, Tenn. — Marlene Schwartz, 83, previously of Bellevue, Ohio, Florida, Texas and most recently of Penson, Tenn., died Tuesday at her home..

Mrs. Schwartz was born Jan. 4, 1936 in Bellevue,, daughter of Raymond and Marguerite (Boehler) Ruess. Marlene graduated from Bellevue High School in 1953, and worked as a clerk at Hogues.

Marlene was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church while residing in Bellevue.

On Nov. 6, 1953 she married Gerald Schwartz, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1995.

Mrs. Schwartz is survived by two sons; Leon (Tina) Schwartz of Penson, Tenn., Timothy (Ronne) Schwartz of Schriever, La., one daughter, Karen Couture of Lakeland, Fla., and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Schwartz of Nitro, W.Va. Surviving siblings include Beverly (Joseph) Wott of Tiffin, Ruth Ann Myers of Boykins, Va., and James (Jeannette) Ruess of Tiffin.

Along with her parents and husband, Marlene's son Stephen preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St John's Preschool Scholarship Fund.
