Edison schools to present Band-O-Rama

MILAN — The combined bands of Edison Middle and high schools will present Band-O-Rama in the high school gymnasium beginning at 7 p.m. Feb. 23.

The program will feature performances by the Edison Middle School sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands under the direction of Melissa Hartley. The concert also will feature the Edison High School Varsity Band directed by Pamela Notley and the stage band and wind ensemble directed by Denise Reilly. In all, more than 200 student-musicians will be performing.

Band-O-Rama has become a bi-annual event in Edison Local Schools. It enables everyone to hear the entire spectrum of band performances throughout all the grade levels. A wide variety of band music will be presented including marches, overtures as well as patriotic and musical selections.

Tickets can be purchased at the door beginning at 6 p.m. or in advance through band members. Make checks payable to “Edison Music Boosters.” You may also purchase tickets by stopping by daily at Edison High School between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. All Edison Staff members may receive two complimentary tickets.
