SANDUSKY — The Sandusky State Theatre will soon host a new series highlighting local talent.

The Avenue Sessions will be offered four times a year.

“The atmosphere will be different than other musical series offered at the theatre,” said Arica Pfierch, the producer of the series. “It’s an opportunity to cultivate a conversation, enjoy a beer, all while listening to local performers.”

Local artist Clay Kirchenbauer will be featured for the first show this Friday. He will perform a wide variety of music, from originals to covers.

In 2008, Clay’s band signed a recording contract with Warner Bros., and had their songs featured in shows like “American Idol;” “So You Think You Can Dance;” “Undercover Boss;” and several others, according to Sandusky State Theatre.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. For more, see sanduskystate.com.
