FREMONT — The Birchard Public Library again is participating in the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums event in October, the American Presidents Film and Literary Festival.

This festival is being planned as a city-wide three-day event celebrating the American presidency in film and literature.

The library is asking local authors to save the date of Oct. 5, when it will feature local author displays at the Birchard Public Library, 423 Croghan St., Fremont.

“We are planning a day where you can interact with the public and sell copies of your items. We will be contacting you closer to the event to reserve your space. Authors of all types of literature can participate,” library officials said.

If you are interested in learning more about the festival, visit https://americanpresidentsfilmfestival.org/ or https://www.facebook.com/ampresfilmlit.

“There are also writing contests that we are encouraging participation in, one for poetry and one for essays. Information on those can be found at the website, along with submission information,” library officials said.

If you have any questions, or know of authors who might be interested in participating, contact Nancy Koebel by email at [email protected] or by snail mail at 423 Croghan St., Fremont.
