Area residents shopping for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange will be able to access services at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and Medical Care physicians through the Medical Mutual Mercy Health HMO Network.

According to Steve Fries, Fisher-Titus Health senior vice president of finance, the Medical Mutual Mercy Health HMO network also will include the 44-member Fisher-Titus Medical Care physician group and Bay Area Digestive Health physicians, providing the community access to local health care services through the ACA exchange.

“We very much appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this health plan network,” Fries said. “Through the combined efforts of Medical Mutual and Mercy Health system officials to add Fisher-Titus as a provider, we are able to give local residents the option to come to Fisher-Titus for health services.”

Open enrollment to choose ACA Exchange Plans ends Friday, Fries said.

“Consumers should be aware that Fisher-Titus entities may not be listed yet as a provider for Medical Mutual plans available on the exchange website since this agreement just happened,” Fries said. “That will happen once the sites are updated.”
