NHS homecoming activities are underway

The 2019 Norwalk High School homecoming festivities are in full swing.

Spirit Week kicked off Monday with students dressing for Mundane Monday (Groutfit Day). There also were spirit relays in the main gymnasium.

Today is beach day. The schedule for the remainder of Spirit Week is as follows: Wednesday (VSCO girl), Thursday (dress up) and Friday (blue and gold).

The NHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting “See You At The Pole” at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Group members are inviting anyone who wishes to join them for prayer.

Also Wednesday will be the annual snake dance and bonfire at 7 p.m. The snake dance will start at Main Street Intermediate School and weave its way to Whitney Field.

The homecoming king and queen assembly will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, with voting afterward.

On Friday, the pep assembly will start at 1:30 p.m. The homecoming parade begins at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, will go down Main Street and end at Whitney Field. Pregame activities are at 6:30 and the kickoff for the Truckers hosting Ontario is at 7.

The athletic department will sell pre-sale tickets for both the home and away football games. Tickets may be purchased from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday in the athletic office.

Finally, the homecoming dance will be from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at NHS.
