Norwalk kicks off homecoming week

Norwalk High School has a variety of homecoming events this week.

The annual snake dance starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Main Street School, winding its way to Whitney Field. That’s where the students will have a bonfire. 

A pep assembly will be from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Friday in the main gymnasium. 

The parade starts at 5:45, with the line-up at First United Methodist Church. The 2018 homecoming queen and king will be crowned during the pre-game activities at 6:40 at Whitney Field. The game starts at 7 with the Truckers (3-1) hosting Shelby (3-1).

Spirit week kicked off today with Pajama Day.

Tuesday is Beach Day, Wednesday is Dead Trend Day, Thursday is Dressed to Impress and Friday is Blue and Gold Day.

The senior girl attendants are: Mayli Austin, Alyssa Faley, Mascie Horner, Sydney Smith, Kristina Toczek and Alysha Ziemba. The senior boy attendants are: Austin Brown, Wyatt Dotson, Deyer Graffice, Brandon Haraway, Ian Scheid and Devyn Steffanni.

Rounding out the homecoming court are: Juniors Olivia Ward and Ethan Hernandez, sophomores Makaila White and Curtis Diederick and freshmen Isabelle Borgeson and Caleb Sommers.
