The congressman, who represents Ohio’s 4th Congressional District, was originally scheduled to appear at the Huron County Republican Party Dinner. He was set to give a speech during the William McKinley Dinner at the Norwalk Eagles. U.S. House Rep. Bob Gibbs will replace Jordan.
Jordan canceled on Monday because he’s needed in Washington, D.C. for depositions, according to the Huron County Republican Party.
A private event was originally going to be offered with Jordan before the dinner, with tickets costing $60 per person or $100 for couples. That event is going to be rescheduled for a later date. There will not be a private event with Gibbs today.
The dinner is set to be served at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. for those with tickets. A silent auction will also take place during the meal.
The last time Jordan visited Norwalk was in June, when he visited the newly built fire station.
