As the postseason comes to a close, the remaining pool of players is dwindling.

But that didn’t stop Reflector athletes from showing out this week. Here are the nominees for Reflector Player of the Week

For the boys, South Central’s Simon Blair picks up a nomination after he scored 23 points in a win over Wynford in the sectional final on Friday as the Trojans picked up their first sectional title since 2010-11.

Western Reserve’s Colton Puder dropped a team-high 23 points in a win over Willard on Friday as the Roughriders picked up a sectional title as well.

St. Paul’s Paul Pearce scored 14 points in a win over Buckeye Central to give the Flyers their seventh sectional title in 11 years.

Norwalk’s Abdulla Silmi rounds out the nominees after he earned a trip to state by finishing third in the Division II district wrestling meet on Saturday.

For the ladies, Willard’s Kourtney Craft leads the way after she led the Lady Flashes to a state runner-up finish in bowling by rolling a 524 series on Friday.

Norwalk’s Kaelyn Harkness scored 17 points including four 3-pointers in a district semifinal win over Shelby then dropped eight points in a district championship win over Bellevue on Saturday; the first in Norwalk girls’ hoops history.

St. Paul’s Ashley Painley picks up the nomination after scoring her 1,000th-career point in a loss to Buckeye Central on Saturday.

And rounding out the nominees is Willard’s Lydia Wiers who led the Flashes with 14 points in a narrow loss to Riverdale on Saturday.
