Frigid weather arrives Sunday night

By Norwalk Reflector staff • Mar 2, 2019 at 6:00 AM

It appears the Norwalk area will escape the brunt of a weekend snowstorm crossing the Midwest.

The bulk of the heavier snowfall will occur south and east of this area. Only 1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast for Norwalk on Sunday.

However, there’s no escaping the frigid weather that will follow. Temperatures will be in the 20s, teens and single-digit next week.

Today, the sun will rise at 7:02:02 a.m. and set at 6:22:51 p.m.

On Sunday, the sun will rise at 7:00:27 a.m. and set at 6:24:00 p.m.

And on Monday, the sun will rise at 6:58:52 a.m. — the first time since Sept. 3 that it has happened in the 6 o’clock hour. Monday’s sunset will happen at 6:25:09 p.m.

The sun will continue to rise in the 6 o’clock hour for six straight days. Then, next weekend’s time change will push back sunrises into the 7 o’clock hour until April 9.
