Hazardous weather outlook for Huron County

The National Weather Service has provided the following hazardous weather outlook for Huron County and the surrounding areas:

A strong low level jet will move into the region late this afternoon into the evening and help to enhance the thunderstorms. A few of the thunderstorms could become severe with strong damaging winds being the main concern. Strong winds in the wake of a strong cold front may also develop this evening with wind gusts in excess of 45 mph possible.

A flood watch remains in effect until 4 a.m. Friday.

A dense fog advisory expired at 7 a.m. It had been extended an extra three hours.
