Frost advisory issued for Huron County

• May 8, 2017 at 1:31 PM

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Huron County that will be in effect from 2 to 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The freeze warning previously issued for this morning has been canceled.

Temperatures are projected to drop to the low to mid 30s Tuesday morning, which could cause damage to tender vegetation.

A frost advisory is issued when frost is expected during the growing season. Those with agricultural interests are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. Potted plants outdoors should be covered or brought inside.
