With the win, Norwalk improved to 16-1 overall and 10-0 in the Lake. The Truckers can clinch the title outright at home vs. Vermilion on Monday, then play their final league match on Tuesday vs. Bellevue.
For Norwalk, Austin Brown (6-2, 6-0), Wyatt Brown (6-1, 6-3) and Andrew Riley (6-4, 6-1) won in straight sets at first, second and third singles.
At first doubles, Carson Colahan and Andrew Mozina teamed up for a sweep (6-0, 6-0) victory. At second doubles, Sam and Evan Vanderpool followed suit with a sweep (6-0, 6-0) as well.
Edison 3, Fremont SJCC 1
FREMONT — The Chargers improved to 11-3 overall and 10-1 in the SBC Bay Division with Thursday’s win over the visiting Crimson Streaks.
For Edison, the first doubles team of Carter Kramer and Kaleb Yoder posted a win with scores of 6-0, 7-6 (5). At second doubles, Adam Frederick and Jacob Lombardi cruised to a sweep (6-0, 6-0).
At third singles, Nathan Spence won by forfeit. Brody Yost lost at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-3), while the first singles match between Edison’s Lincoln Meredith and Grant Stepanic didn’t finish.
Willard 8, South Central 2
WILLARD — A six-run fifth inning allowed the Crimson Flashes to pull away and earn a non-league win over the Trojans.
Jena Adams’ single to center field scored two runs to get Willard’s fifth going, then Melayna Mahl singled home another run while another came in on the throw. Back-to-back bases-loaded walks made it 7-0. Adams went 3-for-3 to lead all Flashes (10-9) at the plate, finishing with two RBIs. Mahl had two RBIs and Cerlee Gibson scored two runs.
In the circle, Morgan Hamons got the win by scattering five hits. She struck out five and allowed a single unearned run.
Emma Keysor had two hits for South Central (5-14). Maddie Prater tallied a triple.

OLIVESBURG — The Eagles failed to get any offense going in a Firelands Conference loss to the Cougars.
All 10 of Crestview’s runs were unearned due to five Monroeville (1-17, 0-11) errors.
Ricky Ringer had a double for the Eagles at the plate, who also got singles from Meritt Key, Noah Smith and Mason Tonelli.
