Ethel R. (Koepele) Missler

NORWALK — Ethel R. (Koepele) Missler, 93, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 15, 2019, in Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born June 26, 1926, in Norwalk, to Joseph and Estelle (Smith) Koepele. She was a graduate of St. Paul High School and an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She and her husband were owners and operated Arnie’s Cycle and Mower for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, dressing up for dinner and exercising.

Ethel is survived by her children, Barbara (Daniel) Lesch of Norwalk, Laureen Missler of Toledo, Richard Missler of Norwalk and Joe (Carol) Missler of Norwalk; grandchildren, Serena (Burton) Bowles, Krista (Matt) Knittle, Brian (Audra) Lesch, Andrea Heyman and Sgt. Andrew Missler, USMC; great-grandchildren, Lydia Bowles, Celeste Knittle, Heidi Bowles, Jack Bowles, Lakelyn Lesch and Bayden Lesch; siblings, Theresa Zyski and Mary (Doyal) Cutnaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Missler in 2008; parents; and siblings, Anne, Stella, Clara and Leona.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
