NORWALK — C. Fred Lau Jr., 56, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 ,surrounded by his loving family at Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born on New Years Eve, 1962, in Norwalk, to C. Fred Sr. and the late Margaret (Mitchell) Lau. He was a 1982 St. Paul and EHOVE graduate.

Fred was a lifetime member of the Fitchville Conservation League where he enjoyed teaching CCW and hunter education classes. He made lifelong friends at the club and will miss them dearly. He was also a member of the Norwalk Eagles 711.

Fred enjoyed helping others and was a hard worker. He had worked for the railroad, been a mechanic, police officer, carpenter and in general was a jack of all trades.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa (Doney) Lau; children, Christopher Lau, Cody (Nicole) Lau; sister, Kelly (Doug) Cross; brothers, Charles (Ann) Lau and Carl Lau; numerous nieces and nephews and four-legged companion, Callie.

In addition to his mother, Margaret, Fred was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A private memorial gathering will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home.
