She was a graduate of Edison High School after which she toured throughout Europe with the Ohio Honors Chorale. She received her bachelor's degree from Kent State University, and later her master's degree.
Upon graduation Stacy set out for New York City where she spent several years pursuing her dreams, the bright lights of the theater. She later shared her many talents as a music and special education teacher in the New York City school systems.
She possessed a dynamic personality and sense of humor. Her creatively and her lust for life were evident in her everyday life. Her husband, children and their friends were her passion.
Stacy leaves behind her loving husband, Abdallah; children, Danielle, Samantha and Michael; parents, Patricia (James Speer) Stewart, Ronald Nye; siblings, Mark (Suzanne) Nye and Nicole ( Stephen) Spriggs; and a close family of nieces and nephews who adored her spirit and lust for all that life could offer.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jack Stewart.
A celebration of Stacy’s life will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at her church, St. Jacobus Lutheran, in Woodside, N.Y., where she shared her many talents.
