Dorothy L. Barcus

HURON — Dorothy L. Barcus, 87, formerly of Vickery and more recently of Huron, died Sunday at the Admiral's Point Facility in Huron.

Mrs. Barcus was born on June 13, 1931 in Gallipolis, Ohio to William and Edith (Angel) Porter.

She was a wonderful cook, know especially for her peanut butter pie, and loved the outside, Her flower gardens were her specialty.

On May 29, 1949, she married Lloyd E. Barcus. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Patti (Danny) Artino of Sandusky and three sons; Lloyd E. Barcus of Vickery ;Richard (Molly) Barcus of Norwalk and Joshua (Elizabeth) Barcus of Sandusky. Nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, along with siblings, Waldo (Carolyn) Port of Sandusky; James (Judy) Porter of Castalia and Helena Alridge of Huron also survive.

She was preceded by a son, Paul Barcus and a daughter, Laura Hoover. one brother, William Port and three sisters, Kathryn King; Daisy Jeffers and Janice Arata.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, where a service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
