Thomasine Ruth Hormell

LOUISBURG, N. C. — Thomasine Ruth Hormell, 87, of Louisburg, North Carolina died Sunday, January 6, 2019, in her home following a brief illness.

Born in Oberlin, Ohio, January 30, 1931, to Thomas and Francis Hange. She grew up in the Oberlin area and lived in Norwalk before moving to North Carolina, in 1987. She had worked at Fisher-Titus Medical Center as a housekeeper and at the former Fanny Farmer Candy Company in Norwalk.

Thomasine is survived by her sons Ron of Bunn, NC, David of Louisburg, NC, William (Dixie) Bursley, of Galion, Michael (Ritajean) Bursley, of Wakeman; daughters Judy (Donny) Brushaber, of Louisburg, NC, Debra (Roger) Dailey, of Hagerstown, MD, and Susan Rhonemus,of Satsuma, FL; step-sons James of Kentucky, Dennis of Collins, Robert of Wellington; step-daughter Beverly Beckstein of Idaho; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, a sister Nancy Stone, of Vermilion, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Frances (nee Driggs) Hange, her husband James D. Hormell, sisters June Easterday and Eleanor Hange, and step-daughter Glenna Knapp.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park near Huron.
