He was born August 10, 1929 in Berlin Township, OH to the late Clark and Inez (Parker) Burdue. He was a 1947 graduate of Berlin Heights High School and served in the US Army. He worked as a signal repairman for many years on the Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Brotherhood of Railroad Workers and Eagles Club in Norwalk and Wakeman. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, dancing, bowling and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Burdue of Norwalk going on 25 years; children, Rebecca (Darryl) Coovert of Vermilion and Lou Ann (Donald) Wilford of Jacksonville, FL; step-children, Alex and Alexis Stoll, both of Norwalk; grandchildren, Tanya, Michael, Matthew, Justin and Erica; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Wiletta Kuhl of Ceylon, OH; and nephews, Jeff and John Kuhl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with the Rev. Andrew Wellmann officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
