WILLARD — Richard E. Holida, age 77, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation in Willard.

He was born on July 31, 1941 in Carey, Ohio, to the late Oscar and Camilla (Mills) Holida. Richard had worked as a Brakeman for CSX Railroad, where he retired. He was a member of the Willard Moose Lodge and had enjoyed playing golf. Richard's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife, Unez (Wilson) Holida, whom he married on December 16, 1961; 4 children, Glenn (Shelly) Holida of Plymouth, Sandy (Tony) Cole of Georgia, Kim (Greg) Crisp of Plymouth, Gail Holida of Greenwich; grandchildren, Abby (Sam) Beck of Willard, Katie Crisp of Columbus, Morgan (Jarred) Hintz of Plymouth, Josh Holida of Plymouth, Wyatt Edmondson of Greenwich; 4 great grandchildren, Cheyenne Faulkner, Bentley Beck, Bailey Beck, Kaysen Beck; 2 brothers, Dean Holida of Willard, Virgil Holida of North Carolina; 2 sisters, Norma - Jean Holmer, Josephine Rowe both of Willard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kendra Jones; and many brothers and a sister.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care and compassion they gave Richard.

Friends may call at the Christian Alliance Church, US 224 East, Willard, on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Brother Samuel Tharp officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
