He was born September 21, 1926 in Norwalk to the late Peter and Mary (Goretski) Rinner. He served in the US Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, receiving the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a lifelong resident of Norwalk, member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie 711 and VFW Post 2743. He was a truck driver for Oglesby Construction, Norwalk Truck Line and Hug Concrete Paving and was a member of the Teamsters Local 20. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas R. Rinner Jr., John (Ann) Rinner, David (Connie) Rinner and Steven (Marcia) Rinner; sister, Mary Conley; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Cortes M. (Skinner) Rinner in 2011; grandsons, Ryan Rader in 1992 and Peter Rinner in 1999; siblings, Bernard Rinner, Evelyn White and George Rinner;
Friends may call on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with the Monsignor Ken Morman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
